The Fire Has Gone Out.

Okay that title is a bit extremist, the fire hasn’t gone out as much as it isn’t burning brightly at the moment.  I’m a Dragon of Winter not Summer and now that July has arrived and the temperature has risen to boiling levels outside, I’ve basically entered my annual summer funk, in-a-rut period, which is the reason I haven’t posted about much lately.  Not that there’s much to post about anyhow what with Michael Jackson being the only news with the occasional Sarah Palin bid to hog the news.  I haven’t even gone to the movies which is a sign of major problems, seeing as how often I find myself in the dark of the matinee.  But not lately.  It is just too hot to even get the mail.

The only saving grace of the summer is of course the constant rain but not even that has brighten my days because it hasn’t been torrential, more like sprinkles.

Besides, I’ve been busy revising my latest manuscript after I implemented a few changes.  It seems as though this is the longest I’ve taken to revised something (I’m sure it’ll happen again as I continue to hone my writing skills and I become more and more of a perfectionist) and I’m trying really hard to do it without changing anything else, though I do believe the changes have made the story stronger, but as one of my writing rules states, sometimes you have to know when to let go and stop changing things or you’ll never finish.

Once the heat is gone, the cool to cold weather will ignite back the fire.
